How far in advance should I book my headshot session?
A. Most clients book 1–3 weeks in advance. If you have a deadline (residency application, casting submission, corporate launch), it’s best to schedule as early as possible to allow time for image selection and retouching.
What should I wear for my corporate headshot session in Charleston?
A. Men: I recommend wearing a pressed plain dress shirt without patterns (solid color) with crisp collars and collar stays. We don’t want curled collars! Shirts with more structure are better than floppy shirts.
Wear or bring at least 1 suit or sport jacket. Simple, solid colors without busy patterns are best.
Wear a complementary tie, or even bring a couple, if you’d like to wear a tie. If you don’t want to wear a tie, I recommend shirts that are thick enough to work well without an undershirt. Or wear a v-neck undershirt that isn’t visible when the top button of your dress shirt is undone.
Women: The fit of your clothing is important. Baggy or excessively tight clothing won’t bring out your best.
For individual sessions, wear your best fitting professional top/dress.
Solid or at least non-distracting patterns are best. Bring a professional jacket if that’s a look you want.
For men and women: A comprehensive guide will be emailed to you after your booking date is set.
How long is a headshot session?
A. Most headshot sessions are between 1 1/2 hours to 2 hours long. Depending on other factors as well. Shooting in the studio can be a much more comfortable experience that shooting outside for your headshots depending on the season.
How long does it take to receive my final images?
A. Final edited images are typically delivered within a few business days after selections are made. Completion time can be between 7-14 business days during busy season though. Rush delivery may be available if you’re on a deadline.
Can you match my company’s branding or team style?
A. Yes. For corporate teams and personal branding sessions, we can align lighting, background, and tone with your company’s visual identity to maintain consistency across your website and marketing materials.
Do you offer on-location headshots?
A. Yes. Headshots can be done in-studio or at your office or preferred Charleston location for a more environmental look.
